Conservation Commission · Meeting of July 22, 2026

East Longmeadow Conservation Commission approves two wetland permits and issues a new enforcement order for illegal wetland filling. The commission voted unanimously at its July 22 meeting to approve NOI-2026-03 for residential site improvements at 167 Pease Road, with applicant Randall Feher's consultant confirming the plan had been revised to stay within the existing fence footprint and out of the 30-foot no-disturb zone. The commission also approved NOI-2026-01 for a new single-family home at 0 Nelson Street by Ted Bukowski of Wilbraham, attaching six special conditions including no stump grinding, crane-only removal of a tree that had fallen into an on-site brook during a recent windstorm, and a restoration plan due by September 9.

The Orange Street addition by Michael Tami was continued to August 12 after an unrecorded prior enforcement order was discovered mid-hearing. Most urgently, the commission issued a new enforcement order for 3 Kingston Avenue, where contractors cleared trees in a wetland, operated bobcat equipment, and filled the area with wood chips before being stopped by staff, the property's fourth active enforcement matter before the commission.
